About the author
Like many of us who have survived abuse and trauma, Kim del Valle Walker turned to substances and ineffective coping behaviors to survive. Out of control, Kim awoke from a blackout in a jail cell knowing that she was either going to die, or kill someone else, if she didn’t do something different.
Since that time in 1987, Kim has continued to work a program of recovery, went on to become a licensed substance abuse counselor, holistic health practitioner and most recently a published author. She refers to her first book, Help Over Handcuffs as a “self-help memoir.”
Assisting individuals, couples and families, Kim combines her education, personal experiences and her metaphysical training to bring you honest, insightful and often raw authenticity, allowing her readers, clients and followers to connect with her on a deeper level in part, because as those that know her have said, “Kim gets me!”
